Growing in a community where the insidious onset and potentially devastating outcomes of cancer have made it one of the most feared diseases, I strive to help shift focus on cancer from medicinal to awareness and early detection. Treatment of cancer is considered by many to be a financially devastating burden due to expenses for diagnosis, investigations, treatment and patient support. I am really looking forward to working together with the trust to meet cancer needs and promote other national and international forums around cancer care, symptom control whilst promoting good quality of life.
